Welcome to 'Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart'

 

HEET makes homes warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient. Warm Up New Zealand: Heat Smart provides a package of insulation and heating improvements for more families than ever before.  It is a Government-funded initiative and the scheme is managed by EECA with the support of a range of service providers such as HEET.  From South Auckland, the Greater Waikato and Taumarunui, HEET is the not for profit team working hard in your community!  

If you own your own home or rent it from a private landlord, there are a range of grants available.

Step 2
Assessment

One of our assessors or scopers will visit your home and suggest improvements which should be made under the Scheme.  A quote will be provided and we can discuss the financial options.

Step 3
Installation

Our team of fully-trained installers will make the required improvements to your home, and you will come home to a drier, warmer and healthier home.

Step 4
Quality Check

We regularly check our installers' work so you can be confident in the quality of the service.  An audit  will be carried out on your home by HEET to make sure it has met the required high standard.

 

 

 

So what can we do for your home?

 

      • Provide polyester blankets for the ceiling – installing them correctly to ensure minimal heat loss

      • Provide a Hot Water Cylinder wrap to keep the tank hotter for longer, for less cost.  (B&C grade cylinders only. These are predominantly in older homes.  Don’t worry we’ll check it for you) 

      • Install underfloor insulation using 35% recycled fibre and plastics so you can save the environment as well as your home! 

      • Install ground cover to stop damp rising – crucial in the Waikato well known for rising damp.
